Residential Services
St. Christopher's places a high value on placing young people in an environment that can maximize their chances for success.
We offer a continuum of care for adolescents who are experiencing emotional or behavioral problems. Spread over two residential campuses in Westchester County, NY, each provides safe and tranquil surroundings in which to live and learn. Combined, the campuses' cottages provide temporary homes to approximately 150 boys and girls, ages 12 to 21. While attending St. Christopher’s, students live in a home-like setting, which includes living rooms, bedrooms, and a large family kitchen. In this residential setting, students learn the value of chores, positive interactions with others, and developing relationships and a sense of community.
Each cottage is staffed by youth care professionals to provide 24-hour supervision, seven days a week. Our staff become role models for appropriate social skills and many times develop meaningful relationships with the students. As part of the structured program, students at St. Christopher’s receive individual and group therapy sessions, participate in an accredited school program and attend after school enrichment classes, recreational therapy, spiritual services, along with supervised off-campus trips to sporting, educational and cultural events.
